Propolis, otherwise known as “bee glue,” is a sticky, waxy substance made by bees composed primarily of plant resins and beeswax. It is abundant in amino acids, antioxidants known as bioflavonoids, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.

Propolis has been used for centuries to enhance the immune system, treat various skin conditions, aid in preventing cancer and treat viral infections such as genital herpes. Bee propolis contains anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that have the ability to enhance and improve the immune system. In particular, it is thought that the bioflavonoids in propolis work to block the release of histamine, which works to develop the efficacy of the immune system and obstruct the formation of many common illnesses.

Bee propolis contains an active ingredient called Artepillin-C (ARC), an antioxidant which has been found to have extremely potent anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, hepato-protective, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and anti-ulcer activities. Recent research conducted by Japanese scientists found that ARC has anti-cancerous effects by inhibiting mitoses and significantly reducing the number of newly formed vessels within the tumor.

Vitamin C is water-soluble, meaning that it cannot be stored in the body. Any excess is excreted through the urine. Therefore, your body needs a daily supply of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is essential for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of the body. It helps the body produce collagen, an important protein used to make skin, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels. Vitamin C also plays an important role in healing wounds and for repairing and maintaining bones and teeth, in addition to being an antioxidant that helps block damages caused by free radicals. The build-up of free radicals over time can contribute to the aging process as well as the development of health conditions such as cancer, heart diseases and arthritis. Low levels of vitamin C have been associated with a number of conditions, including high blood pressure, gallbladder disease, stroke, Cancer, and Atherosclerosis.

Helps increase total sleep time aspect of sleep quality in people suffering from sleep restrictions or altered sleep schedule. Helps relieve daytime fatigue associated with jet lag. Helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep in people with delayed sleep phase syndrome. Helps re-set the body’s sleep-wake cycle aspect of circadian rhythm.

Osteoarthritis is a joint disorder that occurs when the cartilage on the ends of the joints wears down and the exposed bones rub together. This degenerative process causes excess friction in the joints, which leads to loss of motion, stiffness and joint pain. MapleLife® Joint-Less-Pain works to reduce pain associated with osteoarthritis by reducing the swelling and stiffness within the joints and improving the functional status of people with hip or knee osteoarthritis.

Glucosamine sulfate protects joint cartilage by limiting breakdown and promoting the build-up of cartilage tissue. Chondroitin sulfate is part of a protein molecule that helps give cartilage its elastic properties and it also has anti-inflammatory effects, reducing the painful swelling in the joints that occurs when the exposed bones in the joint rub together.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound and one of the major building blocks of glycosaminoglycans, a key structural component in cartilage. MSM plays an essential role in the formation and maintenance of connective tissues such as cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. MSM has also been shown to slow the nerve impulses that transmit pain signals, ultimately reducing pain.

Gout is an inflammatory disease resulting from deposition of uric acid crystals in tissues and fluids within the body. This process is caused by an overproduction or under-excretion of uric acid. The resulting excess uric acid eventually forms crystals in joints and cause the joints to become inflamed. The joints that are commonly affected include toes (especially the big toe), ankles, knees, and fingers. Acute gout will typically manifest itself as an acutely red, hot, tender and swollen joint with excruciating pain. Recurrent bouts of acute gout can lead to a degenerative form of chronic arthritis called gouty arthritis.

Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant found in every cell, which helps turn glucose into energy. It has been approved by Health Canada as an antioxidant for the maintenance of good health and helps promote healthy glucose metabolism. Alpha lipoic acid is a potent antioxidant because it is both fat and water soluble, unlike many other antioxidants out there such as vitamin C (only water soluble) or vitamin E (only fat soluble)…

In several studies, alpha lipoic acid has been shown to decrease the blood sugar level. This decrease in blood glucose is likely to be synchronized with an increase in glucose uptake into cells. It has also been suggested that alpha lipoic acid may help regenerate other antioxidants.

Coenzyme Q10 is a compound found naturally in every Cell of the body and serves as a vital nutrient for the cell’s mitochondria, the energy-producing center of the cells.

Coenzyme Q10 boosts energy, enhances the immune system, and is a potent antioxidant. Antioxidants are substances that scavenge free radicals, damaging compounds in the body that alter cell membranes, tamper with the DNA, and cause cell death. Free radicals occur naturally in the body, but environmental toxins (such as cigarette smoke and air pollution) can also increase the number of these damaging particles. Free radicals are believed to contribute to the aging process as well as the development of a number of health issues, including heart disease and cancer.

Antioxidants such as Coenzyme Q10 can neutralize free radicals and may reduce or even help prevent some of the damage they cause.

NMN(Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is the direct precursor to NAD+ and is the most effective way to boost NAD levels. Optimal levels of NAD+ help maintain a healthy body, energy production, metabolism, and gene expression in the body.
